Managing Director, Piran Mining Research Ltd
Paul Burton is managing director of Piran Mining Research and has been involved in the mining industry for over 40 years.
His career spans working as a mining engineer, a mineral’s marketing manager and a mining analyst.
Paul graduated as a mining engineer at the Camborne School of Mines, in Cornwall, UK. He subsequently obtained a MSc in Mineral Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand, in South Africa, and an MBA at the Graduate School of Business, University of the Witwatersrand. He holds a Certificate in Investments (Securities) from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (UK).
As well as running Piran Mining Research, Paul is the mining consultant at London gold fund, Hinde Capital, and is the mining analyst at Marten and Co. He has acted as Chairman of the FTSE Gold Mines Index committee for twenty years and is a regular chairman and moderator at worldwide gold sector investment conferences.
